Six men arrested after cannabis haul of £860,000 found in Ayrshire

Cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately £860,000 has been recovered following a search of a property in Stevenston.

Police unvovered the haul after searching a property in South Ring Road on Friday, 15 December, 2023, and six men aged 25, 27, 31, 33, 34 and 37-years-old were arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences.

They appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday, 18 December and have been remanded in custody.

Detective Sergeant Williams Deans of Saltcoats CID said: “We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to prevent the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in our communities.
