DRUGS, cash and a knife seized from a car in Poole have led to the discovery of a suspected cannabis factory.
Patrolling police officers stopped the blue Skoda Roomster in Ashley Road shortly after 5.30pm on Sunday, March 24.
A search was conducted of the car and its male occupant, and officers reportedly recovered a rucksack containing a quantity of suspected cannabis.
It is also reported a quantity of cash and a small kitchen knife were discovered.
The man was detained and following a search of an address, a suspected cannabis factory was reportedly located as well as a quantity of suspected cocaine.
The man, aged in his 30s and from Bournemouth, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply, possessing a class B drug with intent to supply, cultivating a class B drug, possessing a knife or bladed article in a public place and a driving offence.
A woman aged in her 30s was also arrested on suspicion of producing a class B drug.
Both have been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out.
Officers from the neighbourhood policing team say they will continue to work proactively to disrupt the activities of those reported to be involved in the production and supply of illegal drugs.
